The Purpose
"A person without the knowledge of their past history, origin, and culture is like a tree without roots."
Everyone's goal is to move ahead in life. While moving ahead, it often happens that we forget the stages of life which we have left behind. But there are some people who move forward but hold their roots firmly.
Three such friends who all hail from a remote town of Malanjkhand in Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh, studied together in Kendriya Vidyalaya from grade I, grew together and remained connected even after growing up in their respective fields for last 43 years. It is the result of their responsibility towards society and sensitivity towards art and artists that they started Bhartiya Shilp for the revival and promotion of artists associated with their roots.
Bhartiya Shilp strives to preserve those rapidly vanishing Handicrafts of India by directly connecting the art lovers and the Artisans, who unfortunately are currently standing at the lowest rung of the economic chain working from remote areas of India, thus making their life better and even helping their future generations to continue practicing and refining their traditional art without worrying about the social insecurity.
The aim of Bhartiya Shilp is to ensure the Artisans receive the deserving price for their hard work as well as the recognition and respect in society.
You too can now connect with artisans from different parts of India through Bhartiya Shilp.
